We're In Guangzhou!

Hello all,

Just a quick post to let you know we made it off flight #4 of 7 flights we will take during this adventure. The flight was short (just over 1 hour) and Bethany did well. We checked in and headed to Pizza Hut with the Grimaldis. When we returned, we spent time catching up with the Andersons, and later on the Davidsons and the Wades. We have been so blessed by and have enjoyed getting to know the other 8 families in our group, and now it is so fun to meet their children!! I will be sad to part ways with everyone when we leave China, since we are from all over the U.S.

Bethany has been shy and reserved today. She clung to me when our guide Maggie met us at the airport and said hello to her. We think she may have been afraid that she would be taken from us. She is also wondering who all of these new people we are talking to are, although she did finally warm up and play with the Anderson kids for awhile. I think each new situation is going to require a warm-up period for her, which is consistent with what I read in her translated memory books today.

Sorry, no pictures today...that's Dan's job, and he and Bethany are totally out already. Tomorrow we'll have lots more to share.
