2nd post today!! Bowling in Nanning, anyone??

Hi, We had a fun night and I thought I would post again (make sure you scroll to the other post after this one). Tomorrow we are going to try to pack a lot in, including packing back up to head to Guangzhou Saturday morning, so we may not get time to blog much tomorrow. Anyway, when we were out exploring yesterday evening, we walked by a bowling alley, so we thought we would go try to bowl tonight!! Turns out Dan and I don't bowl any better in China than we do in the U.S.!!

The bowling alley was pretty nice and had the electronic screens where we could type our names in English!! We bowled 2 rounds and then headed out to find some food. Most of the street side food places kind of freak us out, and the restaurant in the hotel was booked for a special event tonight, so we headed over to the place our guide to us to the first night, which is just across the parking lot from the hotel. We're getting kind of tired of the place (we've eaten there 3 out of the last 4 nights!), but it's familiar, it's predictable, and there is a sweet waitress there who has taken us under her wing. She loves talking with us to practice her English, and told us tonight that she someday hopes to go and visit America. She said she has lots of friends she has made on the internet that live in America, and she thinks our country is a beautiful place. Her English name is Sara, and she has been a God-send to us...one night, Dan asked for the bill, and one of the girls brought us all beer...but Sara took care of things for us! :)

We continue to see God's provision for our trip in so many ways...from the care of Bethany, to the great weather, to our wonderful guide, to our fun trip-mates, the Grimaldis, to all the details of this whole incredible journey. That for me has been the lesson each day - to TRUST in HIS provision.

Good night from Nanning!! Becky :)

Dan and Becky, I'm sitting here at work and wondering if the whole thing seems real to you yet. Has it hit you that you are actually going to bring Bethany home with you?

Love,

Tim
